African-American newspapers from Georgia
The Digital Library of Georgia (DLG) has completed the digitization of two historically significant Georgia African American newspapers as part of a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The images will be included in the Library of Congress’ newspaper site: Chronicling America. The papers are the Savannah Tribune (years 1886-88) and the Athens Republique (1921-1924).
