African-American newspapers from Georgia

 The Digital Library of Georgia (DLG)  has completed the digitization of two historically significant Georgia African American newspapers as part of a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The images will be included in the Library of Congress’ newspaper site:  Chronicling America. The papers are the Savannah Tribune (years 1886-88) and the Athens Republique (1921-1924). Source: Research Buzz
