 The Genealogy Society of Hernando County will meet Oct 15th at the LDS Family History Center, 21042 Yontz Road in Brooksville,  at 10 a.m. Social distancing and masks for the unvaccinated will be required.

World War I Burial cards on Fold3

 From Fold3, available on the library's website to all cardholders:

We’ve added a new collection of WWI records to our archives! The U.S. WWI Burial Cards document the death and burial of over 78,000 American soldiers in WWI. These cards contain information including:

  • Name of the deceased
  • Unit assigned
  • Date and cause of death
  • Burial location
  • Final resting place if reinterred
  • Emergency contact information (often the name of a family member)
